I had recently announced an initiative called Meetups @ Safal Niveshak , with the aim to bring the tribe members together, face-to-face, to channel the energy for a shared vision – simplifying the art of value investing and making it available to as many small investors as possible, around the country.
This idea is really simple – To meet regularly in small groups across cities in India…to learn and grow together in our investment journey.
To begin this journey, we have finalized the dates for the meetups in –
- Bangalore – Saturday, 12th Sept., and Sunday, 13th Sept.
- Mumbai – Saturday, 10th Oct., Sunday, 11th Oct., and Sunday, 18th Oct.
Here is what we are going to do in these first meetups –
- Getting to know each other
- Sharing investment experiences, key learnings, and mistakes (using real-life examples)
- Discussion theme – How to deal with stock market volatility
The Registration Fee for joining Safal Niveshak Meetups is Rs 1,500 (plus tax) per person, which will go towards meeting the logistics and other costs of organizing the events. Anshul and I will attend all these starting meetups.
In the future, when a batch wants to meet again (maybe, once every quarter…which can be worked upon later), the cost can be shared by members.
Now, if you are interested to join a Meetup in Bangalore or Mumbai, and learn the art of investing through the power of peer support, please click here to register .
Here is something important.
To derive maximum value out of these meets, we plan to restrict the batch size to a maximum of 15 people for each meetup. So the earlier you register, the better is your chance to get a seat plus a time slot of your choice.
Here is what you must do to book a time slot of your choice – As soon as you register on this page , please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with your preferred time slot. We will fill up the seats on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Since these will be the first meetups, we also invite suggestions for centrally located venues in both Bangalore and Mumbai. So, if you know of places that are quiet and not expensive (maybe your society’s clubhouse, or a college class), please suggest.
If you are in Bangalore or Mumbai, Anshul and I look forward to your registration and then meeting you.
And then…let’s meetup!
